Dear Residents –

Just a reminder that Town Hall will be closed on Monday, February 20th in observance of Presidents’ Day. However, the garbage carters will be working that day, so your trash will be picked up if Monday is your regularly scheduled day.

At next week’s Town Board meeting, February 21st, there will be two public hearings regarding Real Property Tax Exemptions. One is for Senior Citizens/Disabled Persons and the other is for Volunteer Firefighters and Ambulance Workers. For questions about either of these exemptions, please contact the Assessor's Office at (845) 359-5100 x 5002 or by email. Please note that the deadline to file for any of these exemptions is March 1, 2023.

If you are looking for something fun to do this weekend, why not head over to the Camp Shanks Museum? The museum commemorates the largest World War II embarkation camp on America’s East Coast. Commander Gray and his veteran volunteers are opening the museum tomorrow, from 11 to 3 pm, and would love to give you a tour. The museum is located at 20 Greenbush Road in Orangeburg (behind the Orangetown Building Department).

Whether you plan to rest, have some family time or take advantage of Presidents’ sales this weekend Day, enjoy and be safe!

Regards,

Teresa M. Kenny
