This Sunday in Worship from Pastor Darren:
This Sunday, Nov. 1, we will remember all those who have gone before us over the past 12 months during our 11 a.m. live-stream worship commemorating All Saints’ Day. We will read their names and light a candle as part of a litany of remembrance.
You are invited to join in this remembrance at home by lighting a candle in celebration of your departed loved ones. You can also put their names in the chat roll.
In hope, we believe that our faithful departed now rest with God, and we renew our trust in the resurrection of Jesus Christ that one day we will be reunited with them. Until then, our prayer is that everyone will feel the comfort of the eternal Spirit that unites our hearts with our loved ones.

Missions and Outreach
Jubilee Christmas
Just when you’re about to wave 2020 goodbye and start your 2021 new year’s resolutions, we at North Church Indy hold firm to our “True North” vision by remembering the families at Coburn Place. We have been committed to Jubilee Christmas for over 15 years. We are celebrating this year’s Jubilee Christmas differently to ensure everyone’s health and safety, so we need all the helper elves and North Church families we can get to make this happen.
Food Baskets: You can pick up one (or more) of the 42 empty food baskets that contain a food item list for you to fill with needed non-perishable food items. This year we’re asking for a roll of wrapping paper and scotch tape to be included for each family at Coburn Place. Food baskets may be picked up and dropped off at North Church (3808 N. Meridian St.). Pick-up days are Sundays, Nov. 8 and Nov. 15 from 9:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. and also Tuesday, Nov. 10 from 3-7 p.m. Food baskets can be returned on Sunday, Dec. 6 during the Advent Festival time from 5:30-7:30 p.m. and also Tuesday, Dec. 8 from 3-7 p.m.
Books and Toys: Books and toys for the 47 children and youth at Coburn Place will be based on several age groups, as we have babies to teenagers (0 to 17 years old)! Books will be a collaboration with Kids Ink Children’s Bookstore at 5619 N. Illinois St., Indianapolis, to support local small business. Detailed information about the book and toy lists will be available soon. Toys can be purchased through an Amazon wish list and shipped to Pastor Darren’s house. Watch the North Church e-newsletter for more information next week on the logistics of this book and toy collection.
Volunteering: If you're interested in helping to deliver food baskets and the gifts to Coburn Place on Saturday, Dec. 12 from 9-11:30 a.m., please contact Daphne Chen.
Can You Help With Our Farmers Market in 2021?
If you have ideas to help attract vendors and customers to the North Church Farmers Market in 2021 or if you want to be involved in other ways, please email Lydia Shaw. The Farmers Market Team will meet several times over the winter to try to move this important ministry of North Church forward in 2021.
