SAN DIEGO COUNTY COVID-19 SNAPSHOT
The County Health & Human Services Agency announced that a record number of COVID-19 deaths were reported in San Diego County, bringing the region’s total to 505. Also, 587 new COVID-19 cases were reported July 21, the third highest one-day total. To date, 25,107 cases have been reported in San Diego County. A new study shows it's likely that more than 10 times that number have been infected.

Three indicators on the County "triggers dashboard" currently exceed levels that would loosen regulations. They are the number of new cases per 100,000 residents, the number of recent community setting outbreaks, and the percentage of new cases that are investigated within 24 hours. In the past week, 12 community setting outbreaks were confirmed. A community setting outbreak is defined as three or more COVID-19 cases in a setting and in people of different households. The County relayed that they are bringing on more case investigators this week to help mitigate that trigger. Latest trigger dashboard shown below. San Diego County remains on the State Monitoring List.
