Join the Cheshire County Conservation District in Celebrating 76 Years
of Conservation at our Virtual Annual Meeting!

Walpole, NH (October 4, 2021) – This year, the Cheshire County Conservation District (CCCD) is excited to celebrate 76 years of conservation in NH! Due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the CCCD is hosting their 76th Annual Meeting virtually online, for all to enjoy from the comfort and safety of their homes, Tuesday, October 26, 2021 starting at 6:30pm.

Programming for this year’s virtual event includes conservation project updates from the CCCD and partners at the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS), awards for exceptional conservation work in the County presented to Sun Moon Farm as the 2021 Cooperator of the Year, Samuel Jaffe as the 2020 Educator of the Year, and the Monadnock Conservancy as the 2021 Legacy Award recipient.
In addition to honoring our awardees, join us for an engaging and informative keynote address by the Director of the USDA Climate Hubs Program, Dr. David Hollinger.

Dr. Hollinger's keynote address: "Weathering the Change", will explore recent climate trends and their impacts on NH farms and forests. Specifically, their impacts on production, and how operations are increasing their resilience to these changes with climate smart farming and forestry practices.

Standard admission for our virtual annual meeting is free, but registration is still requested. Friends of CCCD may also choose to donate through our Eventbrite registration page. Donations of any amount are greatly appreciated! In appreciation of any donation $25 or greater, you will receive an annual meeting watch party gift bag! Gift bag includes locally produced popcorn, a CCCD sticker, and magnet! Donations through Eventbrite must be made by October 15th to receive a watch party gift bag in time for the annual meeting! All proceeds go directly to CCCD's conservation programs!
