Friends Mini Craft Sale

The Friends of Tiverton Libraries will host a Mini Craft Sale on the front porch of the library. Get a head start on gift shopping and support local crafters!

In the event of rain, the sale will be in the library’s Community Room and will adhere to current Reopening RI COVID guidelines.
Free Paper Shredding Event at the Library

Saturday, July 24th, 10:00am-1:00pm, Library Parking Lot

Safely and securely clear out your old tax documents, files, and other sensitive materials at the library! Shred RI will be in the library parking lot on Saturday, July 24th, from 10:00am to 1:00pm to help you dispose of your documents. Maximum of two (2) paper grocery bags or bankers boxes per vehicle. Papers will be shredded on site.

As part of our Adult Summer Reading Program, Tiverton Public Library presents: Tails & Tales - a Rhode Island Community Storytelling Series. Join us on Monday evenings, July 12th-August 16th, for a festival of stories featuring local storytelling artists, historians, and community members.

Virtual Presentation: Meditation for Inner Peace

How can we find inner peace within ourselves through meditation? Join Bruce Faithwick as he explores the aspect of going within rather than without! He will discuss the blocking out of stressful triggers and finding peace by living in the current moment, all made possible by incorporating a simple, time-tested meditation technique. There will even be a short meditation sitting.

Wanda Schell, from the Rhode Island Black Storytellers, will perform "No Man Ever Would Have Been Treated So: The Trials of Elleanor Eldridge." Elleanor Eldridge was the first Black woman in America to plead a case in court. This industrious, ingenious, 19th-century Rhode Island native fought to regain her property stolen by an unscrupulous money lender.

2021 Summer Teen Quest

Each summer, the Tiverton Public Library offers a Teen Summer Experience for students who are entering into Grade 6 (or students who are at least 12 years old) through Grade 12. Participation in our program allows for students to explore, participate in shared experiences, and submit their participation for prizes.

Recommended for ages 3-8

Drop by the Union Library in Historic Tiverton Four Corners on Tuesdays to learn some fun facts about native animals. While you are there, explore and create in the new outdoor craft center or pick up an activity kit to take home.

The outdoor craft center will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and is weather-dependent.
