Happy February!

A friend just sent me a note. New Month, new Mindset, new Focus, new Intentions, new Results. Boy, did I need that. Some of us had had setbacks or challenges this month, some are well on their way to their new goals, but sometimes we just need a REset. Let’s make the most of this new month.

There is a lot to look forward to this month! I’m not necessarily thinking Valentine’s Day (as much as the stores want you to :)) but rather, if you're like me and have kids in school, you're thinking Winter Break!

But I’m also looking forward to the Programs Wine Tasting and all of the other meetings we are offering. Definitely put this on your calendar…March 25 is our charity event at Ironmonger Brewery Company. I hope you will all join us to benefit 10 Women of Hope, a very valued charity in this community offering one time emergency services to families in need. There will be barbecue, country music, ax throwing, and more! What’s not to like? Carpool or Uber and wear your favorite comfortable Western attire, it’s going to be a great time!

Can’t wait to connect with you all this month!

CPWC Re-Discover our local CRNRA trails: Tuesday, Feb 14, 2023

This wooded trail follows the shore of Bull Sluice Lake and several coves. An elevation hike to the wooded interior will reveal an old abandoned vehicle with a story of it’s own. About 4 miles. 9:30a carpool at ACC or drive directly to trailhead by 10a. Hike begins at 10a. Hiking boots recommended. Bring water, snack and a Food Pantry donation.

Savvy Women

Please join us on Tuesday, February 21 for Savvy Women. Irene Barton the executive Director for Cobb Collaborative will be focusing on mental health initiatives in Cobb County with the hopes of raising awareness to promote resiliency and reduce the stigma around the topic of mental health. We will be meeting at the home of Jeff and Chris Cashman located at 521 Oak Hill Circle SE. Please plan to arrive around 6:30 pm for cocktails and then to settle in as Irene presents from 7 to 8 PM with questions to follow.

Daytime Program Meeting

Everything You Always Wanted To Know About Wine," from how to select, pour and taste plus lots of fun wine stories and fun facts. Friday, February 17, 10:30 am at the home of Debbie Judd, 270 Pine Valley Rd. A light lunch will accompany the tasting.

*This meeting was originally in March but was moved to February due to the Charity Event being re-scheduled for March 25.

Run/Walk 5K

Hello Walkers!

Remember we walk the first and third Monday of each month.

Plan to walk in the ACC neighborhood on Monday, February 6 at 9 am. We will park in the Magnolia Circle cul-de-sac and walk from there. For reference, the address is 4683 Magnolia Circle, Marietta 30067. (This is Cynthia Meyer's address)

Our next walk is Monday, February 20 at 1 pm in the Indian Hills neighborhood. Meet in the IHCC parking lot in front of the club house.

For those of you who would like to take it up a notch, plan to meet at Columns Drive at 9 am on Monday, February 13 and Monday, February 27 to speed walk, jog, or run 3 miles. So, first and third Mondays are for walking and second and fourth Mondays are for taking it up to a faster pace.

Evening Book Club

Anne dedicated the film in memory of her mom - my beloved sister Florence Alvergue.
