Valentine Date-Night Party

The New St. James Organ
On February 12 and 19, Alex Benestelli and Bruce Neswick will take us behind the scenes of the new St. James Organ. With the final stage of installation underway, Alex will tell us about the building process and show photos and video from inside the organ chambers. The following week, Bruce will talk about the different sounds of the organ and what they are used for. As you hear more and more of the new organ this Spring, everyone can be a part.

Christina Miller to be Ordained
Saturday, Feb. 18, 11:00 am, St. Paul's Cathedral
On Saturday, February 18, 11:00 am, at St. Paul’s Cathedral our own Curate, Christina Miller will be ordained into the Holy Order of Deacons of the Episcopal Church.
All are invited to this service and celebration of the ministry of Christina and two others being ordained with her. Parking is available at 525 Olive Street.

Parish Choir Sings Beatles at Balboa Park
Sunday, Feb 19, 2:00 pm, Balboa Park Organ Pavillion
This concert was re-scheduled to Feb 19th.
Departing from their normal Anglican repertoire, the Parish Choir will sing an all-Beatles concert next week. The choir joins Raul Prieto Ramirez, San Diego’s civic organist, at the Spreckels Organ Pavilion for the 2:00 pm concert, which is outdoors, free, and open to the public. The Spreckels Organ Pavilion is in the center of Balboa Park near the museums, and parking is available behind the structure. All are welcome for this fun program; bring friends, pets, and a picnic basket.

Worshipping at the Cuvier Club because our organ installation has taken over the church and the weather outside was threatening, the Rev’d Mark Hargreaves took the readings for the day to show some of the wisdom of God’s upside-down world, “…that upside down kingdom which is so different to the way of the world.”
