A Message from our Parish Pastor, Father Phil
|
|
Dear Parishioners:
Last week, the Sheboygan Press reported that my colleagues serving the northside parishes in the City of Sheboygan – Fr. Mark Brandl and Fr. Norberto Sandoval – had tested positive for COVID-19, resulting the both of them being quarantined and the parishes closed for public services through Friday, August 28th. At last word, both priests are doing well and the parishes are expecting to resume their public celebrations of Mass this weekend (August 29-30). READ FATHER PHIL'S FULL MESSAGE

A Message from Archbishop Listecki:
"For more than 25 years of my priestly life, I taught moral theology, both in high school and college, and for over 17 of those years at the graduate level of the major seminary. Inevitably, a question would be posed by one of the students: “Father, is it really a serious sin to miss Sunday Mass?” I would answer directly and firmly “yes.” Then, I would qualify that certain circumstances exempt a person from the obligation. Alpha is a series of group conversations that explore life, spirituality, and faith through a Christian lens. Through small groups, participants have the opportunity to ask their questions, share ideas, build friendships, and experience the love of God through the power of the Holy Spirit.
Over a million people all over the globe have been involved in Alpha small groups since it started, and now Alpha is coming to the St. John the Baptist and St. Thomas Aquinas parish communities! All are welcome. Alpha will run over twelve Sundays, beginning September 13. Small groups will meet for weekly hour-long sessions, either at 11:00 am or 7:30 pm.

Walking with Purpose
Women’s Catholic Bible Study
|
Do you desire to grow in your Catholic faith? Do you seek connection with other women in our parish communities? Are you searching for something more in your life? Indeed, we are offering a WWP study this fall/winter and we hope you are able to join in, Grounded in Hope!
Grounded in Hope is a 17-week bible study based on the book of Hebrews, that will help you encounter Jesus in such a powerful, comforting, and stabilizing way that He can become your lifeline. In a world where levels of despair are rising, we need more than clichés or positive thinking.

From the School Principal, Mrs. Amy Nelson
|
|
This past Wednesday, we held a "Sneak Peek" for our incoming students. What a pleasure to hear children's voices and see the excitement in their eyes as they walked through the building to meet this year's teachers! I would also like to add that the teachers' eyes were filled with happiness as they too look forward to a brand new school year. Please pray for the students, parents, and staff as we approach the reopening of school.
