Don't forget!
Our annual Community Halloween Party/Open House is on - but will look a bit different this year!

Drive through the Library, Village, Police and Fire Department parking lots to enjoy:
  • Themed guests, roving entertainment, DJ music
  • Display of the annual Trunk or Treat vehicles
  • Police and Fire Department exhibit of emergency and first responder vehicles on display
  • Children will receive a small pumpkin gourd and a treat bag during the drive-thru experience (while supplies last)

Please observe the following guidelines during the event:
  • Remain in your vehicle - NO foot traffic allowed
  • Use caution while driving through the parking lots
  • Vehicles must maintain a safe speed of 5 mph or less
  • Enter off of Fairfield Way approaching from the east into the Library entrance near the gazebo (right turn only)
  • Exit onto Bloomingdale Road heading north (right turn only)

Please note: The Library, parking lots and book drop will be closed until 12:00 p.m. on Saturday as we prepare, host, and clean up the Halloween Drive-Thru. We thank you for your patience.
Bloomingdale Public Library is open for regular hours. The procedures we currently have in place fit within the state's updated guidelines (beginning Friday, October 23). We will continue to offer in-person services such as reference help and book/DVD checkouts, as well as virtual programming, until further notice.

We continue to focus on the safety of our community by:
  • Limiting building capacity to less than 65 (below 25% occupancy)
  • Limiting seating capacity
  • Visits encouraged to be less than an hour
  • Meeting /Study/Conference Rooms remain unavailable
  • Computers have been spaced out more than 6 feet apart, users are limited to a strict one-hour time limit
  • The Library continues to require that visitors wear face coverings and maintain social distancing
