CWA 1104 Voter Guide
A Message from President Tom Benedetto

Starting Saturday, October 23rd, voting will be taking place for local county and town elections. Below is information on voting and who CWA 1104 is supporting. I would encourage all members to consult this list as we have interviewed these candidates and believe that they will be the best ones to stand up for our members at the county and town levels.
CWA 1104 Nassau/Suffolk Voter Guide
There are 3 ways you can vote this year:
  • You can vote by mail. All New York residents may vote by absentee ballot this year. If you requested your absentee ballot (the deadline was October 18th) you can fill it out and mail it back before the end of business on Election Day, November 2nd, so that it is POST MARKED BY ELECTION DAY. Absentee ballots may also be dropped off at any poll site during voting hours.
  • You can vote early in person. The Early Voting period for the General Election will be October 23rd - October 31st.  You may vote at ANY early voting location in the county you reside.
  • For early voting locations throughout New York State go to: https://www.voteearlyny.org and click the county you live in. You will be provided with dates, times, and locations of early polling sites as well as a link for directions to early voting sites.
  • And of course, you can vote on Election Day at your regular polling location on Election Day, Tuesday, November 2nd.

There are 5 Amendments on the back of the ballot this year. We recommend voting YES on all five.

CWA 1104 Food Drive
Fellow Members,

In the spirit of the holiday season, we are once again conducting our annual cash fund food drive to aid those less fortunate in Nassau County.

Over the past twenty-nine years our efforts have become significant in assisting people who increasingly find it difficult to provide for themselves and their families on Long Island. These are not easy times for any of us, but please know there are many people in our communities struggling day to day just to put food on the table. Contributions that are made will be donated to Long Island Cares.

Normally, we ask for a donation of $10.00 per person, though many have generously given more. As always, there are no administration costs, so every dollar raised goes directly to Long Island Cares. Collections will be made beginning November 1st thru November 15th.
Each one of us should take pride in knowing we’ve been directly responsible for providing thousands of meals to people who may have otherwise gone without during the holiday season.

Please take the opportunity once again, to give back to the communities in which we work and earn our livings.

This food drive is dedicated to the loving memory of Joe Kohler, William Heise, Kevin Monroe, Ken Rott and Joseph Romano.

Thank you for your continued support
