-What you need to know about AVID and STUDY HALL
All 6th graders take an AVID course.
AVID is a class which focuses on study skills, organization, tutoring, character education, leadership, and transitioning to middle school. AVID students receive assignments and grades.
Study Hall is a class that does not receive a grade, but attendance is mandatory daily. Students will have access to other students and an instructor during the entire 90 minute block. There are no assignments or grades given to students taking Study Hall.
We will use Study Hall times for individual tutoring, intervention, and other social emotional support.
