WELCOME TO FALL 2020 SEMESTER!
Dear Riverbats,

Wow, what a week! You have already heard from me a few items this week regarding Blackboard Login Issues, our new Chosen Name Process, and a Mandatory Sexual Misconduct Awareness & Prevention Training for our first-time students. Throughout the semester, you will hear from me a lot. I want to ensure you stay informed.
However, this is my time to celebrate you and say "welcome to the fall semester!" We are very excited to have you as a part of the Riverbat community.

As you continue your academic journey, the Office of Student Affairs is committed to working with you and challenging you to take full advantage of the great opportunities you will find at ACC!

We are in a time where we must adapt versus simply adjusting. If we merely adjust - then we have to force a change in ourselves when new challenges arise. However, when we adapt, we take what strengths we already have and use them to help us in any situation. We want you to know that during this journey, we are moving from simply adjusting to adapting as well.

We’re here to assist you, engage you,
and shine the light on your next step.

For any questions along the way, please contact the Student Help Desk they are ready to chat if you need any assistance and will help point you in the right direction. We are happy you are a part of the Riverbat family. Remember to study hard, get involved, and reach out when you need us. We are here for you!

Sincerely,

Dr. Shasta Buchanan
Vice President of Student Affairs
Austin Community College
