Irving Cares' annual fundraiser-The Gala-returned on September 17. The 30th annual event drew over 300 guests and raised more than $220,000.
Following 18 months of lockdowns and safety precautions, CEO Kyle Taylor was pleased Irving Cares could host the event safely and enjoyably. "It's been a challenging time for all of us since the last time we were able to get together. During our time apart, Irving Cares has continued to work hard to provide the support and lifeline many of our neighbors require...Your outpouring of assistance, your willingness to step up and help others, has always left me so humbled."
This year’s theme, “Boots & Bling,” brought out the Texas chic in many of the guests. Cowboy boots and hats, bolo ties and bold jewelry made for a dazzling crowd. Country Grooves set the tone with not only country tunes but favorites from Frank Sinatra and Earth, Wind & Fire. Guests also could have their photo made with Texas Longhorn steer lookalike, Bevo.
