A Rapidly Expanding Market

As of 2019, the chocolate segment of the cookie market, including chocolate chip cookies, was still the most in–demand style of cookie commanding roughly 50% of the global revenue share.

The demand for chocolate–flavored, or chocolate chip cookies, isn’t expected to change much but the demand for nut-free cookies is going to start gradually increasing this year. 

Some analysts predict that there could be a CAGR of 6.7% between 2020-2027 alone, especially in the Asia Pacific region, where the demand for nut–free cookies is at its highest, while the United States isn’t far behind.
