Dear friends,
Last night, The BTS Center staff team gathered around a fire pit to celebrate and share story, ritual, and song on the longest night of the year. The Winter Solstice, as well as the nights of Hanukkah, the Season of Advent, and Christmas itself, are all reminders to us not only of the inbreaking light, but also of the nourishing richness of the slow, quiet dark.
As we've lived into our December Pause over these past weeks, we've been delighted by the many ideas and connections that have had space to grow during a time of intentional pause. We're finding ourselves invigorated with new imaginings and possibilities, and we are looking forward to sharing more in the new year about what has been germinating for us in this month.
We also want to offer our sincere thanks for your creative, honest, and whole-hearted participation in our community over this past year. We say it often, but without you, we would not be able to do the work we do. We wish you a Christmas season filled with abundance, with peace, and with solace. May the hope we sense in the birth of the Christ child infuse us with wonder and love for the whole of creation.
With very best wishes,
