"Sharing Christ's Love with the Greatest Number of People"
Redeemer Lutheran Church
April 8, 2022
Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ!
Ukraine: Every day we wake up to the loss of more innocent lives and the utter destruction taking place in Ukraine. We are reminded of the command from Christ to do what we can to meet the needs of others. Financial donations are still the best way to offer assistance. In our announcements we highlight the work of Lutheran World Relief and Lutheran Disaster Response. Other organizations and other ways to give can be found by downloading this document. Right now a specific request that needs to be met by this coming Wednesday is a clothing drive hosted by the Northern Virginia Regional Commission. Please use this link to see what is needed and where to go to drop off the clothing.
Lenten Dinners and Services: A huge thank you to all those who helped with the coordination, set-up, preparing a meal to share, and clean-up so that we could dine together on the Wednesdays during Lent. The food was awesome and the company was even better. Each week after dinner we moved to our worship space for Evening Prayer. Another deep sense of gratitude for our speakers who offered very meaningful reflections on key questions that are asked in the gospels. If you did not have an opportunity to attend in-person or to watch the livestreaming, the videos are available on the Redeemer Channel.
Memorial Service for Tracy Graves
The Memorial Service for Tracy Graves will be on Saturday, April 23, at 11 am. Due to the number of people we expect to attend we are offering the option for people to livestream the service. Click here for the link.
We are also starting to put together a list of ways that people can help on that day. Click here for the link to sign up if you can make some baked goods for dessert. We are being specific on the kinds of desserts we need so please read over the Sign-Up Genius carefully. Thank you!
