A Message from Pastor Sell
“Now the salvation and the power and the kingdom of our God and the authority of his Christ have come, for the accuser of our brothers has been thrown down, who accuses them day and night before our God. 11 And they have conquered him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, for they loved not their lives even unto death. Revelation 12:10, 11
We Got to October

We got Church services started. We dealt with the emotional roller coaster of COVID19. We made it through the start of the school. Now we make our way through the end of the church year, Reformation and then to Advent.

When the church celebrates St. Michael and All Angels (September 29th), we know the weather is cooling down, the children are back in school, and Thanksgiving and Christmas is around the corner.

The Lord has given us the gifts of faithfulness and perseverance. It is because the "kingdom of our God" is of Christ. He is the gift that brings forgiveness and hope. He continues to guard and protect us from the devil and the evil of the sinful world. He provides for us and our every need and even has provided angels to guard and protect us. The angels are the messengers of His presence to help maintain the order of the world and to serve us in worship on the way to the altar.

Getting Back to Normal?

The journey since March has been odd. Yet our Lord's promises of victory over sin and death have been taught, preached, and confessed in the Fenton area. It seems that we are finally beginning to become comfortable with our new routines.

We are even at the point that we are now even able to consider getting back to our rental program to use our buildings wisely. It's an important part of our budget (apart from Covid stoppage, it's about $18,000 annually).

Now we are trying to give back a little to our community by supporting our restaurants (see below). Usually the church and school would receive a portion of the sales from a Dining with Dividends event as a gift and we put it to good use. This time, we want to be a good neighbor and help our community recover from Covid, so we are holding off for a few months and the % earned Dining With Dividends will stay with the venue.

Thanks again to everyone who have been working with each other in our church and school to continue proclaiming God's Word, receiving His eternal gifts in church and loving our neighbor.

We are marching on with the promises of the Word of God, the Salvation of Christ, and continued unity of heaven and earth in church services. "Therefore, with angels and archangels and all of the company of heaven... "

Blessings,
Prsell
An update from
Our Savior Lutheran School
Sharing Christ's Love, Centered in God's Word
With the cooperation of the parents, students, and teachers, Our Savior Lutheran School continues to educate children on campus. Children from 2 years old up to 8th graders are hearing about, witnessing, and sharing Christ on a daily basis. COVID-19 has an affect in our school as we work carefully to stay as healthy as possible. Through the challenges of staying distanced as best as possible and Kindergarteners on up all wearing masks, we are enjoying being together to learn rather than online.

We still have our store cards for sale. We appreciate all our regulars who purchase these items. We do have Amazon cards for all those online purchases you are making. Plus we have Wal-Mart, Dierbergs, Target and many others for your grocery needs.

You can drop off an order at the office or mail it to us. We order on Mondays and have your items by Thursday. Panera and Starbucks make great gifts for birthdays, anniversaries, thank-you’s and holiday giving. We also have a long list of restaurants. Remember too that Kohl’s cards can be used to pay off your bill. Any questions, contact the office.
BIRDSEED

It is approaching that time of year again! If you would like to donate birdseed for our little feathered friends you can drop it off at the office. On Sundays you can place it in the back of church. We will collect it. If you want to drop it off during the week just come to the lobby door, ring the buzzer and we will collect it from you. Thanks again for your support.

DINING WITH DIVIDENDS
In September we did a reverse DWD for Viviano’s.

In October we are hoping for 3 Margarita’s or Smoking Barrels. We are trying to help those small businesses that helped us.
