Throwback Thursday - Historic Cannery Row Worker Shacks
These simple "worker's shacks" housed Cannery Row workers during the Sardine Capital of the World heyday. Cannery whistles, each with its own unique call, summoned the workforce to their cannery. Take a peek inside during your next visit.

Monterey Public Library's Wish List
Due to devastating COVID related budget cuts, our budget for new materials was eliminated. These are titles we anticipate demand for. Would you like to help us by gifting them to our collection? If you would like, put your library card number on the gift receipt and we will place the book on hold for you when it's ready to circulate. You are welcome to order from another vendor or donate new releases not on this list, however a librarian will review them based on the Library's Collection Development policy before making a decision to add them to the collection. Questions? contact ksmith@monterey.org
