Free! Holiday figure skating exhibition

Get out of the cold and see Skokie's next generation of champion figure skaters!


Our young skaters will display their talents to some of the holiday's best tunes, as well as show off their competitive programs.


This event is free for spectators. Stop by and check out the Skatium Ice Arena!

Celebrate Noon Year's Eve with your little ones!

Ring in 2023 at this fun family event. Festivities include dancing, games, prizes, crafts, Exploritorium play, and a countdown-to-noon balloon drop!

Free: Emily Oaks Gnome Hunt!

Visit the Emily Oaks Nature Center and discover our hidden gnomes during winter break! There are 26 in total –– one for each letter of the alphabet!


The event is free. You can also bring the fun home with Build-Your-Own Mini-Gnome Kits available for $3 at Emily Oaks! For additional questions, email eonc@skokieparks.org.

Kids' Mini Marshmallow 3K

Join us for our winter youth race around Laramie Park!


Kids will run this 1.9 mile course around the park, while everyone stays warm with hot cocoa and marshmallows.


Participants will receive a t-shirt, goodie bag and finisher medals.
