LOVE & HOPE @ WORK_SPACE
Greetings!
The photo above is of the Luminary Installation by Gene Stack, formerly of the US Army, Corp. of Engineers and now one of the 24 artists on display at our Veterans Art of All Kinds exhibit which has been extended through October 21st. We welcome you to call or drop by for your private tour!
This work is displayed in one of our seminar rooms, a temporary addition to our Gallery space. Our other seminar room has become a collaborative work space for a local company needing a home base for the next few months. Flexibility is one of the hallmarks of WORK_SPACE and a quality that we are all learning to embrace out of necessity. What is consistent is our being a safe and stimulating space to meet, learn, create and work both in-house and online. Stay tuned for more virtual offerings (such as an online Gallery and e-commerce site) and enhanced digital resources (our Digital Story Studio is currently being built.)
We hope to see you in-person or on Instagram Live (#WORKSPACEmanch) for our last Beer & Business of 2020 which is taking place on Thursday, Oct. 1 at Elicit Brewing from 5:30-6:30pm (on-site attendees get a complimentary beer.) Scroll down to view additional happenings as well as other programs in the community that might be of interest.
Be well,
Stacey Jill Zackin

COMMUNITY PROGRAMS
Last November, with support from the Town of Manchester, the Manchester Art Association and the Department of Economic and Community Development, Connecticut Office of the Arts, the Galleries at WORK_SPACE opened the PERSPECTIVES: WE ARE ALL DIFFERENT, WE ARE ALL ONE exhibit. We showcased over 100 works of art from more than 50 artists and a program calendar of more than a dozen events. Due to our tireless program coordinator Patricia Johnson, this show is alive and well an making its way across CT picking up more artists and audiences along the way. When it came down from the walls at WORK_SPACE it was immediately transported to the new gallery space at Hartford Public Access Television (HPATV), it is currently being featured in the CT Mirror and as part of the WHAT IS COLOR, WHAT IS RACE program at the Southington Community cultural Arts Center (see below). Perspectives was also recognized at this year's CT Entrepreneur Awards!!
Even though the event is over, it's not too late to donate to support not only Foodshare but the partner programs that help us serve the growing number of people in Greater Hartford who struggle with hunger. (click here). Thank you for helping us to raise awareness of and resources for the issue of food insecurity in Hartford & Tolland counties.
