Spooky season is upon us! It may come as no surprise to you that Halloween is my absolute favorite holiday. It also means that the cooler weather is (eventually) coming, and both the longest and shortest year of our lives will soon be ending.
I want to start by thanking everyone who organized, volunteered, sponsored, and played in our 18th Annual WTS Golf Tournament. I hope you all enjoyed that beautiful weather we had specially ordered just for that day.
Though I sadly did not win the year of free tacos, I had such a great time seeing so many of you, and you helped us raise money for a great cause: our scholarship program. It was also great to be able to recognize our annual award winners since they didn’t get their time to shine due to our banquet being cancelled.
Speaking of the scholarship program and annual award winners, you may notice a bit of a theme with this newsletter. Our wonderful Recognitions and Communications teams have put together a few special videos recognizing our 2019 Annual Award and Scholarship winners! Congratulations to all of you!
It’s also time to start thinking about our 2020 Annual Award and Scholarship nominees! So please help us spread the word about our scholarship program, and be thinking about who you will be nominating for 2020’s Woman of the Year, Member of the Year, Employer of the Year, the Honorable Ray LaHood Man of the Year, and the Rosa Parks Diversity Award.
