Countdown to Academy: 48 DAYS

Countdown to Academy! There are 48 DAYS left to complete this Crosby Scholars Program requirement! Academies are workshops that help students develop their academic and interpersonal skills. Students are required to attend one (1) Crosby Scholars Academy each school year.

In-Person Academies

  • Saturday, February 25: 10:30-11:30am at Forsyth Tech Community College

Virtual Academies via Zoom

  • Thursday, February 16: 5:30-6:30pm
  • Monday, February 20: 2:30-3:30pm (WSFCS Teacher Workday)
  • Tuesday, February 28: 5:30pm-6:30pm

Crosby Scholars Academies are scheduled to end in March. Register in your Crosby Scholars Student Portal today!

WS/FCS High School Course Registration

Course Registration for the 2023-2024 school year opens this semester! For more information review the 2023-24 WS/FCS High School Registration Handbook.

Below are some tips and links to help you start thinking about the courses you want to take next year:

  • Expect to meet with your High School Counselor between February 25 and March 10, 2023.
  • Talk to current teachers about course options that are in their department.
  • Think about courses that match your career interests.
  • Consider taking courses at the Career Center. Watch this short video for more information.
Community Service Opportunities
+ Two Activities You Can Complete From Home on Early Release Day!

Crosby Scholars in grades 6-10 are required to complete two (2) hours of community service annually. Scholars must submit the Online Community Service Form to be awarded credit.

Love For Our Elders

National Letter to An Elder Day is celebrated each year in February! Fulfill February letter requests or make a Valentine's Day card for elders across the country!

All letters should be stamped, sealed, and mailed with love by February, 2023.

Visit our Community Service Opportunities for an extensive list of current volunteer opportunities. The deadline to submit community service for grades 6-10 is APRIL 19, 2023.
Serve Your Community + Be a Leader with ViP Tutoring!
Apply now to be a tutor for a local K-12th grade student.

  • Be 9-12th Grade student in Forsyth County.
  • Have a GPA of 3.5 or a B+ average enrolled in one or more honors courses.
  • Commit at least an hour of your time each week.
  • Virtual or In-Person Tutors are needed!

All training is provided by ViP Tutoring and and Wake Forest University Office of Civic and Community Engagement.

Si aún no has asistido a una academia, guarda la fecha para las siguientes sesiones! Las academias son orientaciones que ayudan a preparar a su estudiante y desarrollar sus habilidades académicas e interpersonales. Ofrecemos una variedad de temas incluyendo establecer metas y habilidades interpersonales. Estas sesiones son interactivas y presentadas por maestros o invitados. Las academias son llevadas a cabo en persona y a través de Zoom.

Academias en persona

  • Sábado 25 de febrero: 10:30 am – 11:30 am en el colegio comunitario Forsyth Tech

Academias virtuales

  • Jueves 16 de febrero: 5:30 pm – 6:30 pm a través de Zoom

La registración ya está disponible en tu portal de estudiante. Las academias de Crosby Scholars terminarán en el mes de marzo. Por favor asegúrate de registrarte para una (1) de las sesiones arriba para completar este requisito.
