The Bicentennial Committee of Indiana Yearly Meeting invites all local churches to bring a display of historical and current information from your church to IYM sessions this summer at Quaker Haven Camp, from July 29-31. We hope to have displays from as many of our 48 churches as possible! One suggestion is to use a cardboard tri-fold display board and show the history and people of your church with "Past, Present, and Future," or "People, Places, and Programs," or any idea of your choosing. Here is an example of one display sent to the IYM office from Center Friends.

Bear Creek Friends, with assistance from Farmland Friends, held their annual Vacation Bible School during the week of June 7-11. A total of 67 different children attended during the week.
Knightstown Friends Assistant pastor, David Oakes, fell about 8 ft from a ladder and broke some bones. He is having surgery soon. Please remember him in prayer.
From the Advancement Committee:
Simply amazing to be in mid-June and be so close to our fundraising goal for the 2022 Budget. THANK YOU for your care and support of what we are doing in and through Indiana Yearly Meeting. We still have a bit to fundraise, but it's incredible to share where we are right now -- $106,387.30 -- cash already received
We are anticipating reaching our $110,000 goal in the next few weeks. Our churches and our members are giving in extraordinary ways. Again, THANK YOU!
Please join us at IYM sessions to celebrate what is going on -- Missions, Evangelism & Outreach, Stewardship & Finance, Communications, Christian Education, White's, Quaker Haven, Christian Service, Ministry & Oversight, Trustees, our Superintendent and staff -- the powerful love of Jesus Christ in action.
From the Christian Service Committee:
It is good to see action in the midst of struggle. Take a look at what these Christian service organizations are doing in Indiana and around the world, serving Jesus Christ our Lord.

White's Residential and Family Services is excited to introduce Shane Chellis, our new Student Chaplain. Shane earned his bachelor's degree in Theology and Pastoral Ministry from Vennard College and his Master of Divinity from Wesley Biblical Seminary. He has been a pastor for almost 20 years, most recently serving in a church he planted in Marion, Indiana, after being the pastor and Director of Recovery Ministries at the Fort Wayne Rescue Mission.
During an area pastor's gathering at WRFS a couple of years ago, Shane had the opportunity to talk with a student about Jesus and about addiction. "It was one of those moments of divine appointment, where the grace of God was in the midst of this conversation." After that day, Shane was always curious about the possibility of working at WRFS some day, and eventually, an opportunity came up for him to do so. Shane has taken the initiative to start a voluntary 12-step group on campus, providing him with greater opportunities for deeper conversations about God.

These are the Quaker Haven Camp dates for this summer. Registration is open at QHCyouthprogramming.com. It is not too late to sign up for any of the camps that have not happened yet. Go to QHCYouthprogramming.com to register.
Camp Update from Andrew Heald (Youth/Camping Director):
We are so thankful for counselors like Tom Roberts (WYM) and so many others from IYM and WYM who have given of themselves for Christ and for kids this summer so far. God is using them all in amazing ways!
To date, over 360 campers and 55 counselors and CITs have been to QHC ready to rest, encounter Christ, and respond! We continue to explore the theme, "Now is the TIME" from 2 Corinthians 6:1-2, describing the significance of God's favor and the intentionality we should bring to life as we work to bring the Kingdom of God near.
Now is the TIME to pray for the remainder of the summer as 180 more campers and 45 more counselors and CITs make their way to camp. Pray for clarity and understanding of Jesus' love, and that a spirit of peace would reign and rule over Quaker Haven. Also, would you pray for those who have already come to camp, that they would continue to draw upon what the Lord spoke to them through their camp experience? This Sunday, at your church, ask a camper what the highlight of their camp week was, or what they are looking forward to most! Thank you for sending your campers to Quaker Haven this summer.

Good Morning!
This past Sunday, on Father’s Day, at Wabash Friends, we sang a song called
"We Fall Down" Some of the lyrics are: “We fall down, we lay our crowns, at the feet of Jesus.”
When I think about laying my crown at the feet of Jesus, I have some specific thoughts about that crown. I think about its meaning -- I am taking all that I am, all that brings worth and significance, and laying that down before Jesus, the author of worth and significance. I also think about that crown showing a good number of dents and blemishes -- some of my doing and some of others doing. Each dent being the result of an act of selfishness or neglecting to see the needs of others.
I also think of God looking on me with love, and accepting that crown -- blemishes and all -- as the act of worship it is meant to be.
Father’s Day can be a hard day. Some have and have had wonderful relationships with their dads. Some have not. Some have been truly great dads to their kids, some feel real struggles in the father role. Some have had father figures step into a fatherly role in certain seasons of life when it was really needed. Some have felt the deep longing of not having a father figure to truly look up to at all.
No matter where we might be on this spectrum as a father or a child in the earthly sense, may we find some comfort in this from the book of John:
Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God. John 1:12
May we all, no matter our experiences as a dad, or child of
a dad, find the peace that comes from the assurance of being a child of the most high God.
--Pat Byers
