Dear Pine Cobble Community,

Below are the times for the COVID testing here on campus on Saturday, August 29th and Sunday, August 30th. Please pull into the main parking lot, and we will direct you where to go. You and your child will stay in the car for the test.

Saturday:

9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon - Faculty, staff and 8th graders

12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m. - 7th, 6th and 5th graders

Sunday:

 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 noon - 4th, 3rd, 2nd and 1st graders

12:00 noon - 3:00 p.m. - K, PreK and Beginners

A few details:
  • Here is the consent form for COVID testing.
  • Please print, sign and either scan and send to Christy St. John at [email protected] before next weekend or bring with you next weekend.
  • The nasal swab is not an invasive test. It will be given by trained doctors and nurses in our community. They will be in PPE gear, so you and your child may not recognize them.
  • Nicole Goswami will be here to greet you as you drive in - a smiling face your children will love to see. And, I will be at the exit sending you and your children off with a smile. So, while the people in the PPE suits may cause your children some concern, they will see people whom they know from our community.
  • This weekend, we will be giving one box of masks per student, and these will be the morning masks for your child(ren) for the first few months of school. So when they get out of the car each morning, they have a mask on. Please put the box in a safe place at home. The box will have your child's name on it.
  • If you have multiple children who attend Pine Cobble, please plan to bring your children together during either child's designated time.
  • If, however, you have a child in our youngest grades - Beginner, PreK or K  - and a child in an older class, please plan to bring all of your children to the time designated for the Beginner, PreK and K classes.
  • If the time designated for your child's grade level does not work for your family, please send me a separate email at [email protected], just so I know you will be coming at a time other than the designated one. We need the majority of our students to come at their designated time, as we have allotted a certain amount of time based on numbers in each class.
  • If your child is going to start the year doing remote access to our on campus learning, but may return to campus, please still come do the test.
  • If you cannot make it at all over the two days, please let me know and remember you must get a test elsewhere, at your expense, and bring in the paperwork with the negative test result to the main office by September 4th, in order for your child to start on campus on the 8th of September.

Later this week you will receive a FAQ document, and that will subsequently be posted to the website. It will be a reference for you. And, if it does not cover information you are seeking, you can call the school, and Andrew Ritter will direct you to the person who can answer that question.

The FAQ is meant to help you have the information in one place. It will be a living document, evolving over time as new information is added.

Don't hesitate to be in touch at [email protected] or 458-4680 ext. 19.

Sincerely,

Sue Wells
