Barberton Soup Kitchen update:
The Church will begin restarting a smaller version of the soup kitchen for the community beginning Tuesday, September 21st. Due to the issues with Covid, instead of preparing full meals, we will be making lunches to pass out at The First Presbyterian Church in Barberton. We will make 50 lunches in total.
We have decided to on the following menu for the lunches:
- Ham Sandwich with American Cheese
- Fruit Cups (individual packets)
- Peanut Butter Crackers (individual packets)
- Potato Chips (individual bags)
-
Cookies 2 each (would like homemade cookies if possible)
- Milk
We will probably need 4-5 individuals to put the lunches together and 2-3 people to take the lunches to the church and pass them out (~4:30-5:30 PM). If you are interested in being on the rotation list of workers, please put your name on the sign-up sheet in the Narthex, or call Ernie Lyons at (330) 336-4586 or Helen Tritt (330) 687-7205. If you would like to donate any of the items listed above also let us know. Please advise of any donations by September 12th. We will update you as the date gets closer.

Worship Service at
Doylestown Memorial Park,
Pavilion #1 (Gates St.)

Emanuel will be partaking in this custom which is conducted in remembrance of St. Francis of Assisi’s love for all creatures. The love we give to a pet, and receive from a pet, can draw us more deeply into the larger circle of life, into the wonder of our common relationship to our Creator.
Please bring your leashed or crated pets to our worship service & blessing. Even if you don’t have a pet, come & join in the celebration.
