COVID-19 Update
While vaccinations continue for groups 1A and 1B, doses of the vaccine remain limited statewide. Please continue to speak with your health care provider and sign up for waitlists that are available in the area if you qualify. We have several links set up on our website, including the pre-registration portal with Austin Public Health - the main hub here in Travis County. Please click here to connect to those resources. City Electric Vehicle Charging Station
Did you know the City of Lakeway has an Electric Vehicle charging station at the Swim Center? It was one of the area's first as part of a 2019 grant from the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality (TCEQ). The station is centrally located outside the popular Lakeway Swim Center (3103 Lakeway Boulevard) near the Canyonlands trail head. In order to use the station, you'll need to set up an account with the city's partner ChargePoint. Then, the next time you visit the area, park in one of the two locations to start charging your vehicle. The nominal $2 per hour rate helps maintain the facility and helps track the air quality benefits. Click here to register.
StoryWalk Kicks Off Next Week
The family favorite returns this February on the trail directly behind City Hall (1102 Lohman's Crossing Road). Residents will be able to enjoy a Valentine's Day story while taking a stroll on the trail from February 1 through 15. Pages from the book "I'd Know You Anywhere, My Love" by author Nancy Tillman will be posted along the walkway. There will also be an opportunity to record your responses at the end of the route. This experience is free and open to the public. For more information, click here.

NEW: February Food Drive

The Lakeway Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek will be accepting non-perishable and canned food items to assist our local food banks. As the pandemic continues, there is still a critical need for a variety of food products to help those in need. A collection box will be available outside the front entrance of the Activity Center throughout the month of February for convenient and easy drop off.
