Assalamu Alaikum RSA Family,
We pray to Allah SWT that you are showered with the blessings of the first days of Ramadan. The first ten days of Ramadan are the days of Mercy and blessings, and every Muslim must seek the Mercy and Blessing of Allah.

وَقُل رَّبِّ اغْفِرْ وَارْحَمْ وَأَنتَ خَيْرُ الرَّاحِمِينَ
“O! My Lord forgives and have Mercy and You are the Best of Merciful” [Quran 23:118]
As we reflect on our last month in RSA, we would like to sincerely thank all RSA students, staff and parents for fostering the positive school culture that supported the wellbeing of our students. Thrilling events, field trips and instructive activities across all grades and subject areas are being observed. Keep the positive momentum going as you continue to grow RSA!

RSA Students Celebrate Pi Day
On March 14th, our middle school students enjoyed an afternoon of activities and challenges that focused on the Pi number, 3.14. The last activity was to decorate a freshly baked pie and enjoy eating it. Special thanks go to Sr. Sanna Ahmad and all the staff members who made this day possible!
Author Read Aloud & Story Time by Ruba Qasem
Author Ruba Qasem shared with our Pre-K to 3rd graders her first book " The Coolest Career". In her read aloud and story-time, Ruba shared with the students the different careers explored by "the brother and sister duo". The best part was the final message in the book when the author reminds the kids to cherish being a child right now. Students who purchased the book received a special written message from the author.

Character Education Respect Assembly
R-E-S-P-E-C-T: it’s something we all want, have got, and need, but not everyone needs respect in the same way. Respect for a teacher or parent is different from respect for another student -- but it all comes down to the same principles, even if it’s expressed differently. This was the topic covered in the character education assembly RSA students attended. In the musical school assembly, The Respect Tour, the performer, Brian Chevalier, demonstrated to our students what respectful behavior looks like, and how to help each student reach their greatest potential.

Topics covered included empathy, compassion, when to say no to others and stand up for oneself, and of course -- respect for others. In The Respect Tour, RSA students learned that respect and kindness go hand-in-hand, and that respecting yourself is a big part of having good character.
Fire Safety Assembly
Mayor Brian Stack was generous and kind to provide our K-3 students the opportunity to attend a "Fire Safety" magic assembly that was presented at RSA. The interactive assembly included skits, music and magic tricks to help educate our students on important fire safety and injury prevention skills. Our students learned about the following eight life safety skills: Stop, Drop and Roll, Matches and Lighter Safety, Seatbelt Safety, Smoke Alarms, Fire Escape Planning, 9-1-1 , and Helmet Safety. At the end of the assembly, each of our students received a complementary red helmet as a gift! Greatly appreciated Mayor Stack!

Pre-K and KG Students enjoyed reading books about taking action and different perspectives ! After completing their book "All the Way to the Top", KG students took a tour of our school building to explore their school, for what Jennifer Keelan was fighting for!
Sr. Tamam's 4th grade Language Arts students enjoyed reading their first Muslim character themed novel " Other Words for Home" about immigration and bravery!
