Pacific Masters Swimming launches a redesigned website to applause from around the Pacific LMSC region and beyond!
We are thrilled to support this launch. The Update will continue to deliver concise, up-to-date information to our Pacific Masters Swimming community.
A Note About the Website Redesign
The home page has something for everyone. There is a section for those new to, or curious about, Masters Swimming, and another that connects existing members with all that Pacific Masters has to offer. Pacificmasters.org: CHECK IT OUT!
In this issue, you will find information on upcoming swimming events and stories of interest. Jeff Commings and Suzanne Heim-Bowen will be the featured speakers at the Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting, November 13. Club Registration for 2023 is now open. It is important to have your club registered before swimmer registrations open on November 1.
The next Update will appear on November 14, 2022. The deadline for submissions is Wednesday, November 9, 2022.
Stay fit,
The Pacific Masters Swimming Committee

2022 Pacific Masters Celebration and Meeting
Sunday, November 13
The 2022 Pacific Masters Annual Celebration and Meeting will be conducted by Zoom, Sunday, November 13 at 1:00 pm. The Celebration and Meeting will include the presentation of our Annual Service Awards, as well as attending to the business of maintaining our amazing organization.
Attendees will have the opportunity to win valuable prizes including gift cards and performance packages from P2Life with our famous Wheel of Prizes. There will also be cash awards to the teams with the most members present. The event is free to attend, but registration is required. Our two featured speakers:
Jeff Commings is well known to the Masters Swimming community having distinguished himself as an outstanding competitor, highly successful coach, and prolific author on all things swimming. The title of his talk will be, "How Masters Swimming Saved My Life."
Suzanne Heim-Bowen is a swimming virtuoso with competitive swims that span sprints in the pool, to ultra-marathons. Her accomplishments in open water and long distance swimming have earned her a place in the International Masters Swimming Hall of Fame as an Honor Open Water Swimmer. Along with her many swimming accomplishments, she blazed a path by starting the women's swim team at Cal Poly. Suzanne tells her own story here.
We are looking forward to hearing these two pioneers of our sport recount their individual journeys and celebrating our outstanding members.
