IMPACTED CLASSES
Certain classes are impacted this year, meaning they are at capacity and/or we expect to receive more applications than available spots.
Impacted programs are as follows:
Enrollment spots are considered reserved for currently enrolled students until February 13th. After that date, we will not be holding spots without a signed contract. Enrollment will open to siblings of enrolled students and newly accepted families starting on March 3rd. Applications for 2023-24 are currently being accepted.
WITHDRAWING
If your family's plans change after signing the Re-Enrollment Contract, you have until June 30th, 2023 to inform the office by written notice (i.e. email) of your withdrawal for the coming school year. Tuition payments for the 2023-2024 school year will begin in July. If the office receives notice of withdrawal after June 30th, 6 weeks of tuition is required.

Tuition for the 2023-2024 School Year
At the December Board meeting, after consultation with faculty and the community, the Board of Directors approved an 8% tuition increase for the 2023-24 school year. The tuition increase will provide an additional $200,000 of which ~ $157,000 will increase staff wages and retirement contributions. The remaining funds will be used to invest in our campus and meet rising costs due to inflation.
Tuition Increase = Approximately $80-$100 per month for each student
We will increase funds for the Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) by $64,000 to support families that may find this increase challenging. If you’re not sure you qualify, we encourage you to apply!

Tuition Assistance Program (TAP)
Our goal at DWS is to make Waldorf education accessible to all families who wish to have it. We recognize an independent, socially- and environmentally-conscious education requires a significant financial commitment.
Each year, DWS budgets a set amount of financial assistance through our Tuition Assistance Program (TAP) to achieve that goal. DWS utilizes a third party company called Tuition Aid Data Service (TADS) to gather financial data, put together reports summarizing this data, and to calculate a family’s ability to pay. For the 2022-23 School Year, we have 21 families utilizing the TAP program with a total of $132,671.33 in tuition assistance being provided.
TAP Awards DO NOT roll over, so current families who wish to utilize this resource for the 2023-24 School Year must apply AGAIN and submit updated financial records. Using TADS helps our school ensure consistency and objectivity in evaluating financial data. The application process includes several steps, which include submitting tax returns and current pay stubs, along with other financial documents. The TAP Committee only reviews accounts that are listed as being in a 'good' status in TADS. To learn more about TADS, click HERE to visit the website.
Families can begin submitting the required TAP documents on February 1, 2023. The deadline for returning families to apply is March 10, 2023. The deadline for new families to apply is March 25, 2023. There is a $60 fee to apply.
Please allow 2-3 months for your TAP award decision.
If you have questions, please contact our business manager, Gabrielle Walton at: finance@daviswaldorf.org.
