2017 RTMC Golf Classic Raises Over $53,000
Winning Team Pictured Above: PCC Construction Components & CFR Engineering
RTMC was excited to host the annual RTMC Golf Classic again this year at Whiskey Creek Golf Club in Ijamsville, MD. This year, we had 112 golfers join us on Monday, October 16th, for a great day on the course. With the help of our sponsors, our players, and our volunteers, RTMC was able to raise over $53,000 to support low-income homeowners of Montgomery County. Proceeds from the tournament provide RTMC with the necessary funding to ensure these homeowners are living in a safe and healthy home.

RTMC Staff Member Accepted into Emerging Leaders Cohort
RTMC is pleased to announce that Nelson Nguyen, one of our Program Managers, has recently been accepted into Rebuilding Together's Emerging Leader Cohort program! This is a year-long program designed by our national office, intended to develop the leadership skills of key staff members in various affiliates, so they may better support their executive directors in executing their vision for the mission and building stronger programming for a wider impact in the community.

Out of the 132 affiliates nationwide, only ten members were selected to be part of this program. We are proud to have Nelson representing RTMC and taking an extra step in expanding his capabilities so that he can better serve the local community.
Corporate Partners Volunteer with RTMC
Lerch Early Brewer

On Saturday, September 23rd, over 20 volunteers from Lerch Early Brewer descended upon Mr. and Mrs. Carter's home in Rockville to collectively make improvements to their home and ensure they have a safe and healthy home. Volunteers began the
morning by dividing into groups a nd taking on tasks  such has painting the living and dining room, stripping and re-painting their front porch and rails, refinishing their back deck, and landscaping their front yard. The group moved quickly and was able to complete their assigned tasks before the day was complete. Lerch Early Brewer's commitment to the community allowed RTMC to make additional repairs such as installing a new kitchen faucet and supply lines, troubleshooting the rafter framing, and installing adequate fire prevention equipment.

Thanks to the Lerch Early Brewer team, and the hard working volunteers, the Carters and their grandchildren now will be able to reside in a safer, healthier, and happier home for years to come. For more photos from the project day, please check out our Facebook page.

HSBC and Residential One

Just a few weeks ago, HSBC employees enlisted the support of Residential One employees to come together and work on Mrs. Cohan's home in Wheaton. Mrs. Cohen has been a long time resident of the area, and is very active in her neighborhood. Unfortuantly, with no family in the immediate area and limited resources available, Mrs. Cohan was in need of a handful of repairs in her home.

The team of HSBC and Residential One volunteers got straight to work on Wednesday, October 11th, and began painting the interior of her home, landscaping the exterior, repairing concrete walkways and patios, replacing window blinds, and making repairs in the bathroom. The team was so eager that they were even able to replace a storm door in the rear of the home, and install a new front door for Mrs. Cohan.

Thanks to HSBC and Residential One volunteers, we were able to provide Mrs. Cohan with a safer and healthier home to live in, giving comfort to the rest of her family that is many miles away. For more photos from the project, please visit our Facebook page.
