What is the best advice you've ever been given?

While it is quite simple, the best advice I've ever received is probably, “don't be afraid to fail.” There have been many times that I've held myself back from doing things that would have been fun or would have helped me simply because I was afraid of the outcome. A lot of times this is easier said than done but when it comes to the little things, like starting a project or pursuing what you want, it is beneficial to remember that everyone moves at their own pace. A lot of times, the worst thing that can happen is someone can say “no” or you take a little longer to complete something, but in the end it is always better to stop holding yourself back because of fear.

What do you like to do for fun?

In my free time I enjoy reading, swimming, hiking, and of course watching TV. I also like arts and crafts. I consider myself good at drawing but I’m out of practice and should probably get back to it. All of these things usually happen the most with friends and family, so I always enjoy spending time with others.

What do you like best about UCSD?

I would definitely say that the location is my favorite thing about UCSD. Besides the awesome people that I’ve met, I’ve always enjoyed the amount of sun we get and how we’re super close to the ocean. The walk down to the beach is so pretty and we have a lot of greenery that makes me love being here. We also got a bunch of activities that we can participate in and we have a beautiful campus. (I also appreciate Target).

What We've Been Up To

On Wednesday, February 8th, we held our quarterly "Midterm Refuel" event. Coffee, bagels, and various snacks were provided for students to chill, study, and take a break from their midterms. To-go care packages are also still available for students that stop by (pictured above)! Stay tuned for our Study Jam event during Finals Week of Winter Quarter!
