October 4, 2020

Dear Middle School Families,

This upcoming Wednesday evening (October 7th), we will host our virtual Middle School Back-to-School Night. The format will be different than the past two years. First, you will participate in an opening session using the link below. Then, instead of going to separate links for each class, you will hear from your children’s individual teachers during grade-level meetings. To end the evening, you will visit a final meeting with your children’s advisors. For those families who are not able to access the meetings in real time, the recordings will be made available. I will also provide dates for upcoming events as well as opportunities to learn more about specifics of our middle school program.

The schedule for the evening is listed below with the corresponding Zoom links.

  • 6:20 -- Zoom session opens for middle school parents and guardians to log in. Click on this link to participate: Middle School Opening Session.

  • 6:30 -- Welcome, introductions, announcements and instructions.

  • 6:45 -- Parents log in to grade-level meetings.

  • 6:50 -- Grade-level meetings begin with introduction from Team Leaders. Click on the grade level below to access the corresponding Zoom meeting.

  • 6:55 -- Core teachers and representatives from Allied, Elective, World Language and Physical Education offerings will discuss their classes.

  • 7:40 -- Parents log in to Advisory sessions (links will be emailed out from each advisor on Monday, October 5th).

  • 8:05 -- Middle School Back-to-School Night concludes.

Should you have any questions about Back-to-School Night or our transition to having more students on campus, please feel free to contact our Middle School Office at 614-509-2264 or by responding to this email. Also, we are now moving away from paper forms to online health checks through via SchoolPass. If you still need to set up an account, please refer to these instructions and contact techhelp@columbusacademy.org with any questions or problems. Thank you for your patience with this important safety measure.

We hope to see many of you Wednesday evening.

Kindly,

Head of Middle School
