At first, his disciples did not understand all this. Only after Jesus was glorified did they realize that these things had been written about him.

The Disciples?
They witnessed it all. For three years they saw Jesus do extraordinary things. But this? This was crazy. Jesus rides on the back of a donkey into the fray of Jerusalem’s bloodthirsty leaders. Why? The Apostle John tells us they did not understand until later. The disciples don’t understand.
The People?
They shout, “Hosanna! Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!” (Hosanna means “Save us!”) “Save us!” The people shout.
You and me?
We do not always understand what Jesus is up to, but we don’t have to, we will understand later. Instead, we shout. “Save us!”
Jesus?
He saves.
See you Sunday as we worship Jesus and call our next witnesses, The Disciples. I can’t wait!

The point is this: whoever sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and whoever sows bountifully will also reap bountifully. Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
