Ann, Thank you for the short video update. I thought that was very well done, informative and encouraging. As parents we know this is not easy or fun for you guys.
Although we’re not fans of the remote learning or learn from home, we’ve had many conversations with other parents (in other districts) and we hear almost no positive feedback, mostly frustration and disappointment. I’m happy to say I don’t hear that from the Lovejoy community and I don’t see that, or feel that from the Lovejoy teachers or parents that I’ve talked to. You all appear well equipped and it’s clear that there has been extra training and preparation coming into this school year.
We are very much looking forward to “in school learning” but just wanted to extend our gratitude and appreciation for all your efforts so far this year.
We are truly blessed to have school leaders and teachers like you in our kids lives.
Elizabeth Benno: Leadership-Elizabeth is quick to answer inquiries, resourceful in finding solutions, placid in the face of panic, empathetic to teachers' exhaustion, a positive force that no pandemic can topple.
Payton Austin: Tackle the Challenge-Payton is managing two different classes and sets of people all at one time starting next week, and she is tackling it head on! Everytime a new direction comes or things have to change, she has been on top of it ready to create the best learning environment for all!
Kelsey Drummond: Tackle the Challenge-Kelsey tackles every challenge with a positive attitude! I especially appreciate her tackling the unique challenge of monitoring my students as they learn remotely, while also teaching her virtual kiddos! Everything is communicated, discussed, and organized with an "it's all going to be fine!" perspective, and I know this is the key to making that true! Love you, Kelsey!!!"
5th ELAR Team: The Marigold -Our team is a family, a tribe, and a sisterhood! This helps us get through each year with love, support, and grace, but THIS year it is the absolute main thing that keeps me going. I appreciate each and every one of you for your strengths, your quirks, your honesty, and your empathy. Knowing we are truly all in this TOGETHER lifts my heart up everyday! Love, The one with the bunnies...
