Removal of ACM Majors for Kentucky Students - Beginning Spring 2022
Sent on behalf of Alexandra Weaver, Office of Academic Programs
The B.A. in Media Arts, the B.S. in Sport & Entertainment Management, and the B.A.J.M.C in Visual Communications have been removed as ACM-eligible majors for Kentucky residents attending UofSC.

This change is effective beginning with students admitted for the spring 2022 term. All Kentucky ACM students currently enrolled in these majors (including those admitted for fall 2021) will be eligible to continue receiving the ACM tuition reduction as long as they meet all other ACM eligibility requirements. Information about the requirements to maintain the ACM tuition reduction can be found on the ACM Program Website.

Contact ACMInfo@mailbox.sc.edu with any questions.

"Semester on the Coast!" Opportunity through the South Carolina Honors College
Sent on behalf of Kevin Metcalf, South Carolina Honors College
Calling all students interested in living on the SC coast this spring 2022!

In partnership with the Baruch Institute for Coastal and Marine Sciences, the South Carolina Honors College presents to you: “Semester at the Coast!”

Situated at the North Inlet Estuary in the South Carolina Lowcountry, 10 students with interests in science, the environment, and/or health will engage in experiential based courses, independent research, and some truly meaningful service projects.

Excursions will range from historical and archeological sites, cultural events, and nature reserves. Students will even have a private chef at times! Faculty from the University of South Carolina and Clemson University will also share teaching and mentorship duties while students live where they research.
Students interested in this opportunity must either be a current honors student or have a 3.5 UofSC GPA or higher to attend. To claim a spot, students must submit their $500 deposit by October 15, 2021. Any questions? Please contact Kevin Metcalf, at (kevin@sc.edu).
