The Fairer Program (Fine and Interest Reduction Enabling Recovery Program)
Have Environmental Control Board (ECB) fine judgments issued by various city agencies?
The Fines and Interest Reduction Enabling Recovery (FAIRER) program is a 3-month program allowing you to pay a reduced amount. If your unpaid OATH ECB judgments are eligible for the FAIRER Program, you may be able to save up to 75% and have the penalties and interest associated with your judgments waived. The amount that customers can save will depend upon when their violations went into judgment and whether the party named on the violation (respondent) attended a hearing held by the Office of Administrative Trials and Hearings.
The FAIRER Program begins on September 20, 2021, and will continue through December 20, 2021. To participate, you must pay your violations in full by December 20, 2021.
Visit http://nyc.gov/fairer for more information and www.nyc.gov/mysummons and to get started!
Conti's 100th Year Anniversary Celebration
Happy 100th Anniversary Conti's Pastry Shoppe! Congratulations to Safet, Christina, Senada and Gianna for all these years of fresh baking, cake making, and bringing joy to the Morris Park community and the Bronx at large! We thank Conti's for organizing the celebration and we appreciate all community members that came out to congratulate them!
Morris Park Community Garden
Clean Up & Daffodil Bulbs Planting in Memory of 9/11
We are in awe and beyond grateful of the incredible work of Morris Park artist Ruth Marshall for sharing her craft and turning the Morris Park Community Garden into a beautiful outdoor art installation! on Monday, October 25, 2021.
Another big thanks to the outstanding team of NYPD 49 Precinct Explorers led by Detective Michelle Fernandez! Together, on Sunday October 24 we pulled weeds, cleaned the sidewalk, planted daffodil bulbs and were able to collect 24 bags of trash and debris. As always this wouldn't be possible without the dedication of the volunteers in the community and our organizational partners. Thanks to FDNY for the professional watering and to the Daffodil Project of New Yorkers 4 Parks, for providing us with Daffodil bulbs that will beautifully bloom in the spring! The Daffodil Project is the largest city-wide living project in memory of 9/11, and the Morris Park BID has been a partner for the last 3 years. Stay tuned for the next clean up and daffodil planting taking place on Saturday, November 13 at Matthews Muliner Park!
Happy Halloween!
