Below are important updates about the state's Preregistration System and Homebound Vaccination Program as well as work search requirements for workers on unemployment. Effective Tuesday, May 25, the preregistration form at vaccinesignup.mass.gov will closed to new submissions. All individuals remaining in the system will be contacted and provided an opportunity to book appointments before the system closes completely on May 31.

The Commonwealth’s COVID-19 Vaccine Finder at VaxFinder.mass.gov will remain open and available to the public. Over 900 locations are available with thousands of appointments in every region of Massachusetts. Residents can also find information about no wait, walk-up appointments at select locations, accessibility information, and can plan for to travel via public transit to an appointment using the MBTA trip planner tool. Residents can also search by the type of vaccine offered, to ensure that people under 18 or their parents can find locations offering the Pfizer vaccine. Residents may call 211 to access the Massachusetts Vaccine Scheduling Resource Line for help booking an appointment.

Effective Monday, May 24, the Administration will expand the state’s Homebound Vaccination Program to support in-home vaccinations for all eligible residents who have difficulty leaving home to travel to a vaccine site.

 

To register for an in-home vaccination, people may call (833) 983-0485. The line is open Monday through Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM with representatives who speak English and Spanish, as well as translation services available in 100+ languages.

After registering, individuals will be contacted within five business days by the state’s Homebound Vaccine Provider, Commonwealth Care Alliance, to schedule an appointment.

The quickest way to get vaccinated remains to schedule an appointment at a vaccination site by visiting VaxFinder.mass.gov.

The Homebound Program is primarily using Johnson & Johnson vaccines, a safe and effective vaccine requiring only one dose. For individuals 12-17 years old who are homebound and would need significant support to leave the home to get to a medical appointment, the Homebound Program is offering Pfizer vaccines. Homebound youth are encouraged to register for the Homebound Program by Friday, May 28 to ensure that an in-home vaccination can be scheduled during the month of June.

Effective the week of June 15, work search requirements will be reinstated for all regular Unemployment Insurance (UI) claimants. This requirement applies to UI claimants receiving Pandemic Emergency Unemployment Compensation (PEUC) and those on Extended Benefits (EB).

Beginning the week of June 13, 2021, UI claimants must attest each week that they are making at least three work-search activities per week and provide proof of work search activity to the Department of Unemployment Assistance (DUA) if requested. The attestation will be necessary to maintain eligibility for UI benefits.
