The Rule of Three, also called 3–3–3, is a guideline on what to expect in the first three days, the first three weeks, and the first three months of a dog's new life in your home.

If you’re considering adoption, already have a new dog, or one that’s not adjusting, the 3-3-3 concept can help.

Learn how to prepare for your new arrival whether it’s a tiny puppy, mature dog, or a timid rescue.
