Across all sectors of postsecondary education, 59% of Michigan students in the class of 2019 graduated with some debt, indicating that 41% of all graduates leave without any debt. Of those with debt, the average debt is $30,677. Michigan ranks 17th in the nation for highest debt per graduate and 18th in the nation for higher percentage with any debt.
