Alia Volz

Memoir: The Art of Questioning Everything

Alia used to think personal writing should begin with questions and end with answers—like the essays we learned to write in college. But the most interesting moments in memoir happen when questions lead not to conclusions, but to more questions.

Join us for a conversation with Alia Volz who will show how relentless self-interrogation has become the driving force behind contemporary personal essays and memoir. She’ll also discuss practical techniques for taking advantage of the many introspective questions that refuse to be answered.

We will meet on Zoom - details upon registration. Space is limited. You must register to get the link to attend.

EXPRESS MEMBERS will receive a special code to use during registration. Watch for a separate email with your code.

If you would like to create your own Zoom account (which we highly recommend), go to zoom.us
