The Power of Story
·      How stories shape our lives and beliefs, and those of others
·      How to tell a true from a false story
·      AAUW's story—and how it has changed
·      How to tell our story

After missing two traditional in-person state gatherings, we have found a wonderful place and time to get together again! The hotel, www.rosenlbv.com, is attractive yet reasonably priced, and close to many attractions including Disney World and Universal Studios. The room rate of $89, tax included, will be extended for three days before and after the convention.
You won't want to miss this!

Strategic Plan

Our 2020-2022 Strategic Plan guides state board activities and is based on AAUW National's Strategic Plan 2.0.Collaboration with other organizations is a key element and we need your help to pool information about collaborative efforts around the state. Let us know the collaborations you've already had with other organizations as well as those that have potential. We'll use that information as we work to:
  • Compile a speakers’ bureau with emphasis on Title IX to enhance awareness.
  • Furnish more concrete guidelines for promoting women's economic security and leadership in your communities.
  • Promote sharing and creative thinking to increase branch membership and, meanwhile, explore establishment of an online branch for those who are far from an in-person AAUW branch.
  • Continue with counterpart Zoom meetings between state and corresponding branch officers.
Mini-Grant Deadline

Does your branch need financial support for a community outreach project? If so, take advantage of our mini-grants and get your application in by October 1. Get more information and the application form in the Branch Resources on our website – https://aauw-fl.aauw.net/mini-grants/
Share Your Branch Zoom Meetings

If you would like to have branch Zoom meetings which you think would be of interest to members throughout the state, included in this publication, please send the Topic, Date, Time and Registration Information to the Editor by the 23rd day of the month before the meeting.
Florida’s Tech Trek 2021 Virtual Program is Now History

In 2021 we held two virtual camps. The girls selected for the 2020 camps and the girls who selected for the 2021 camps were able to choose which session of the camp they prefered to attend. Both 2021 camps were held July 19th through July 23rd. The field trips were virtual visits to Florida STEM locations. More information and a presentation made by some of the girls is available on the AAUW Fl Tech Trek website.
