With many people spending much more time at home we are certainly seeing a boom in our business and we thank you for that! Water features are a great addition to any landscape, the calming and soothing effect of moving water is an excellent stress reliever during these crazy times.

In this month's newsletter there is a great article about feeding your fish, information on Aquascape's pond building contest, an important product update and much more!

Stay safe and healthy!

Happy Pondering,

The True Pump Team

Coronavirus Update
Most of our safety policies remain the same but we have made the difficult decision to cancel all seminars until Spring 2021. There are just too many unknowns to be able to move forward with any seminars this fall.

Beginning Monday, June 22 we adjusted our policies slightly to allow more people into the store.  We are allowing 3 groups of people to come into the store at any time. All customers will still be required to wear a mask when entering and maintain proper social distancing, as per City of Denver restrictions. We will also have hand sanitizer and wipes available. The quickest and easiest ordering options will continue to be online and curbside pickup. There could be wait times for those wanting to enter the store. When arriving at the store please ring the doorbell to let us know you've arrived since all doors will remain locked.

The health and safety of our customers and employees will continue to be our top priority. Thanks to all of you for your outpouring of support and encouragement during these difficult times. We will continue to monitor information from public health authorities, and will communicate updates on a regular basis via email and social media.

6 Tips for Feeding Pond Fish in the Summer
One of the many pleasures of pond ownership is the joy of watching your fish shimmy to the surface of the pond at feeding time. You toss in several pellets and they all come scrambling to eat! Feeding pond fish in the summer is an activity the whole family can enjoy, but you want to keep a few pointers in mind.

1. Feed koi and pond fish a high-quality food
Not all fish food is created equal. Studies have been done comparing the digestion of protein from various sources in fish. The result? Fish proteins are the best digested and assimilated by fish. Makes sense when you consider that fish eat other fish in oceans and lakes.
When shopping for fish food, check the label for protein sources such as blood meal, fish meal, squid meal, shrimp meal, herring meal, or other aquaculture protein as the first ingredients.  Aquascape Premium Fish Foods include high-quality fish protein as a top ingredient.

We  Being "Your Pond Store"
We recently received the following review from M.C. on Google:

" Jo and her crew are great!! Anything you need, they can help you. Very pleasant experience. With utmost knowledge on anything aquatic! Thanks for your kindness! "

Thanks M.C.! We sincerely appreciate everyone who has taken the time to review us on Google, Yelp and Facebook. We'd love to hear from each of you why True Pump is "Your Pond Store"!

Product Update
At True Pump we pride ourselves on having the inventory you need to complete your project on time! We want to make you aware there is a lag happening in the supply chain in the time for manufacturers to ship out orders, the availability of some items, and the time they are on the road. We are already seeing limited availability of koi and aquatic plants and may not be able to get these at all later in the season. We are doing our best to have what you need, when you need it, but the longer lead times are making it more and more difficult.

Like so many things during these challenging times, we appreciate your understanding and we'll get through all of this together!
