DVC Library has textbooks
Having a hard time getting your textbook? Or can't afford it? Here's how the DVC Library can help you get what you need to succeed!

  • Textbook Scanning via email - just need a chapter or two while you wait to get your textbook in the mail? Submit a request for scanning. Limited to two chapters per textbook for the semester. Submit your request.

  • In-Person Textbook Scanning appointments - you can now scan our Course Reserves textbooks yourself in-person by appointment! Great if you need more than two chapters or want the scans right away. Make your appointment.

  • Textbook Distribution - DVC Library recently used CARES Act funding to purchase many copies of textbooks for specific courses (MATH 195, PSYCH 215, CHEM 120, and more!), which you can check out for the entire term! Find out if your textbook is available through this special program by Asking a Librarian.

Students typically receive accommodations such as extended testing time, annotated or shared notes, and document conversion into audio, braille, or other alternate formats. To qualify, students only need to submit some documentation of a disability. Contact Rachel in the DSS office to learn more or to apply for spring.
