The Chugiak-Eagle River Chamber of Commerce, Chugiak-Eagle River Community Foundation and Eagle River Area Rotary Club will be recognizing an outstanding educator from each of our 11 (12 soon!) public schools in Chugiak-Eagle River. Over the past 17 years, we have developed the "Excellence in Education Award" to draw attention to the high quality of education actively happening in our home town and to provide a place to say "thank you" to our leading educators!
With the cancellation of the 2020 Awards due to the Pandemic, this year we will be recognizing both the 2020 and 2021 Recipients! The ASD Superintendent has been invited to attend along with a representative from the Chamber Board of Directors, Rotary, CER Foundation, and Enstar.
This year our event is FREE! While we know there is Zoom Fatigue happening, this is one event that is worth the effort! We invite all spouses, coworkers, friends, and public to join us for this fun evening event to celebrate greatness in our schools.
If you are able to donate 11-22 items to donate to our Recipient Baskets please email info@cer.org. We will be delivering the baskets to the schools during the week of Monday March 15th.
If you are attending on behalf of a specific school recipient, we encourage you to make an effort to celebrate with your recipient as you can! Ideas might include - having a safe gathering at someone's house, buying them dinner, or writing your own congratulation cards!
