With regard to weekly staff testing, Ingersoll Place received notification last night that a staff member has tested positive for COVID-19. The individual is in isolation at home for at least 14 days and must be retested with negative results before returning to work.

In compliance with health department guidelines, all residents will be quarantined within their apartments to reduce the risk of coronavirus exposure or transmission. Group activities have been canceled and congregate meals in the dining room are on pause. Individual room visits by Activities Department staff will be ongoing.

Quarantine will remain in effect for a minimum of 14 days during which time residents will be monitored closely and any changes in health status will be reported immediately to their primary care physicians. Also during this time visitation will be limited to Zoom and Facetime. No outdoor visits or window visits will be scheduled until quarantine has ended. Please call the Reception Desk at 518-370-4419 for scheduling assistance.

All staff continue to use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) throughout the course of their workday and there are adequate supplies on-hand to meet these needs. Cleaning and disinfecting are on-going throughout the facility.

Please note, Ingersoll has not received notification from state or county health departments regarding on-site testing of residents at the present time.

We will inform you of any new cases of COVID-19 among staff or residents within 24 hours of being notified by the health department.
