Welcome
The Admissions team at Delaware County Community College hopes this special edition of the newsletter finds you and your families well, both, mentally and physically in this unprecedented time. As part of our effort to facilitate remote learning and adjust to a new normal, the College has implemented virtual enrollment opportunities that extend from the application completion through registration. While our physical campuses are closed, we are here to help your students navigate their academic journey. Admitted Student Day, May 30
If you have students enrolling at Delaware County Community College for the summer or fall, they have the opportunity to connect with us online as we welcome them to the College. They will have the opportunity to hear from faculty, staff and students, in a panel format, about the resources available at our institution. Admissions, Financial Aid and Student Accounts staff will guide them through the next steps of the enrollment process. This virtual event will serve as an opportunity for incoming students to ask any questions they and their families may have about the College and our enrollment process. Students can register for the event at dccc.edu/admitted-student-day .
Virtual High School Visits
The Admissions Team is still ready to help your students reassess and/or finalize their post-graduate plans. We are happy to coordinate live virtual high school visits for you and your students to discuss and answer questions about the enrollment process and resources available at the College. We can also schedule appointments via phone or video with individual students that have questions about the College and our enrollment process.

Additionally, we are happy to speak to your freshmen, sophomores and juniors around the benefits of enrolling at a community college and other topics related to their future transition into college and the workforce.
If you are interested in exploring one of these options, please feel free to contact the Admissions representative assigned to your school or email us at admiss@dccc.edu .
Virtual Placement Testing & Registration
Students who need to take a placement test can contact Assessment Services by phone 610-325-2776 or by email: testingcenter@dccc.edu to schedule a virtual test date and time. Students who have taken the SAT or ACT may be eligible to have full placement test or a portion of the test waived. To have the placement test or a portion of the test waived, students must receive the following minimum scores:

  • Verbal = SAT: 500; ACT: 18
  • Math = SAT: 530; ACT: 20

Students can provide a screen shot of their scores to Assessment Services or can email them to our Career and Counseling Center upon scheduling an appointment to register for classes.

Registration is now open for our summer and fall semesters. At this time, all summer classes and most fall classes are being offered online. Once a student has placement test or had the test waived, they can contact Career & Counseling at 610-359-5324 or by email at register@dccc.edu to schedule a virtual appointment.

Each Thursday, the Admissions team is hosting a Virtual “Live with DCCC” event that explains the enrollment process and highlights student services and divisions across the College.
