Action Notice

September 14, 2020
Dear Friends and Neighbors,

==Many of you have written to me over the weekend with outrage and fear about the irresponsible behavior at the Grizzly Peak lookouts. Igniting fireworks and burning trash during this very intense fire season is a completely reckless activity that jeopardizes the safety of all of us.

==Your experience of confusion and jurisdictional runaround is also very troubling. Illegal and dangerous activity should be stopped by all neighboring police and fire departments, regardless.

==I share all of your concerns, and have taken action and authored an emergency City Council item that will be under consideration tomorrow, Tuesday evening.

==I am including the item below or you can link to it here. You can forward your comments to: council@cityofberkeley.info

==Please be safe and take care,
