We need your help! The state mandated TN Ready testing will take place at Dogwood beginning on April 12th. The state has made in-person attendance for TN Ready a requirement for all students enrolled in a public school. Any school that does not meet 80% participation is subject to becoming a Priority School.
Testing Dates:
Grade 2: April 12-16
Grades 3-5: April 12-19
Attendance: This is always important and TN Ready is no different. We need your help to make certain that your child arrives on campus by 8:45 in order to participate in the assessment.
Breakfast: Please make sure that your child has breakfast, or arrives on campus in time for breakfast. Getting lots of sleep each evening is also a big help!
Test times: Testing blocks will run from 9:30-11:30 on April 12th, and 9:00-11:00 the rest of the testing window.
Early Check-Outs: A parent may check out a student at any time, as needed. Please understand that sessions may run longer than anticipated. In the event that a student is checked out during a subpart, the subpart may be invalidated or unanswered questions may count against the student.
Tardiness: In the event that a student is tardy during testing in grades 2-5, the student will remain in the lobby until the test concludes. We are unable to allow your child to enter his/her classroom when testing is in progress.
Make-up Opportunities: This will be provided in the event that your child is absent or tardy, but this can never replicate the opportunity to test with your child's teacher and with his/her peers.
Thank you,
Dogwood Administration
