What Happened in Guatemala?
Come to worship this Sunday, or tune into our livestream of the worship service on Facebook as Michelle Clements and Anne Mosiman report on their experiences. Michelle, Anne, and eleven other people traveled to Guatemala under the guidance of Tree 4 Hope and spent time painting and decorating the security wall around Hope Academy, which was paid for by Parkway. They also spent a lot of time helping with maintenance at the Hogar Miguel Magone, and helped the children who live at the hogar with homework and shared in various activities. The people of the adjacent village of Aguacate live in extreme poverty. The Mission Team helped with a food distribution for over 90 families who live in the village.
Those are the bare facts, but Michelle and Anne will add the color and texture with stories of the people they met and the good work that was accomplished.
