Marquette's most prestigious club ushered in 11 new members Wednesday evening at the Richard and Louise Scholl Student Center.

Seniors Mary Kate Bobillo and Adam Burroughs and juniors William Crane, Robert Johnson, Jenna Kirby, Leah Lawson, Kacey Marovich, Mikayla Moyer, Devin Singh, Colin Thompson, and Roujia Wang recited the National Honor Society pledge before they were initiated into the organization.

Senior Zoe Kolosci greeted the dozens of socially-distanced onlookers. Fellow senior Aidan Bartnicki recited a prayer and led the audience in the Pledge of Allegiance.

Principal Casey Martin, a 2003 National Honor Society inductee, then praised the inductees for their dedication to academics, service, and character. Kolosci returned to the dais to laud the 100th anniversary of National Honor Society. Senior Molly Neary followed to extol the importance of a cultivated mind and knowledge.

Junior Joe Henrich delivered an impassioned speech on the virtues of leadership. Newly-appointed NHS sponsor Anthony Holt gave a tribute to character and faith. Bartnicki led the 11 in the official pledge as vice principal Katie Collignon called forth each student to receive their certificate and pin before signing the registrar.

Marquette commends the 11 newest members of National Honor Society along with all past inductees.
